6th Circle is an interactive narrative virtual reality experience that explores an introspection of chaos and perplexity of a dementia patient struggling to make sense of the present, as he’s continuously lost in a reconstruction of his past.

The project is currently on hold for lack of funding. Full pitch deck and project demos are available upon request.

As dementia is an illness of the brain, where brain cells are damaged and gradually die out in specific regions. We wanted to connect this aspect to the experience by using a brain-centered control system as the main controller to navigate through the experience. We will be collecting EEG (Electroencephalogram) signals from the frontal lobes (main region affected by Alzheimer's disease), and motor imagery combined with ML models as a base to build this system.

You can read more about motor imagery here.

We believe this intersection of mind-centered VR narratives, and brain-based control systems, will provide a very unique experience where people are drawn in by the novelty of the control system, and invested in the experience through the human aspect of the stories.
